Moore, Esq. (8:00 PM appointment) Commencement:  The meeting began at 7:05 p.m. with six LPC members present. Committee Minutes and Administration:  Acceptance of LPC meeting minutes from May 15, 2018 MOTION made by Sam McCullough, seconded by Anne Murray, to adopt the 5/15/2018 Land Preservation Committee meeting minutes. Motion carried: 6/0  Next Regular LPC Meeting Date: The next regular meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, June 12, 2018. Land Preservation Applications & Potential Applications MOTION made by Sam McCullough, seconded by Lillian Ball, to enter into Executive Session – Proposed Acquisition, Sale of Real Property Where Publicity Would Substantially Affect the Value Thereof Motion carried: 6/0 The LPC members entered into EXECUTIVE SESSION at 7:06 p.m.  7:00 PM appointment – Tim Caufield and Holly Sanford of PLT (executive session) MOTION made by Sam McCullough, seconded by Anne Murray, to end Executive Session. Motion carried: 6/0 EXECUTIVE SESSION ENDED at 8:19 p.m. Inquiries for Uses or Structures on Preserved Property  SCTM #1000-84.-1-12.6 (DEMCHAK – Oregon Road) Property for Sale – inquiry re: proposed horse barn for raising horses on PDR land 8:00 PM appointment – Patricia C. Moore, Esq. – agent for contract vendees Patricia Moore, Esq., acting as agent for her clients (contract vendees), presented an LPC application for the proposed construction of a horse barn, including stalls and indoor exercise/riding ring, upon land on which the Town holds a development rights easement. Her clients intend to board horses, their own and others, and to build a barn for purposes of exercising the horses. The Committee noted that the use within the easement area must be in agricultural production. The easement allows for fencing, paddocks, ag storage buildings for equipment/ag storage (subject to review). The Committee questioned the operation of an indoor exercise/riding ring within the Easement Area. The Committee pointed out that since this project was partially funded with a federal grant, that an NRCS Conservation Plan is required. Motion carried: 6/0 EXECUTIVE SESSION ENDED at 9:03 p.m. Stewardship and Management: None General Land Preservation Items:  Draft Policy for Public Participation at Land Preservation Committee Meetings Not discussed due to time constraints. Adjournment: MOTION made by Doris McGreevy, seconded by John Simicich, to adjourn this meeting.
