culminates with

CUTCHOGUE—Under breezy, - a
sunny skies,students,teachers,admin- ' ter
istrators and parents gathered to ded-
icate the new Cutchogue East School ■ g .wa
on Tuesday. Carrying class banners,
the youngsters marched from all : `
directions to a field just southwest of
the building as the fifth- and sixth-
grade concert band played. Anothera
group of youngsters launched bubbles
into the air. Kindergartners carried
blue and yellow crepe paper stream-
ers,and many of the girls wore bright-
ly colored ribbons and other adorn- N
ments in their hair.
On windows at the southern side of

the school were banners declaring
"Learning is a never-ending journey" e
and"Teamwork works."
"It seems since like forever ago" `",% t
that the building project started,
Mattituck-Cutchogue school board
president Beverly Wowak told the k r
gathering."It's an amazing building."
"In a short time,all will be forgotten s ro��V'll�i
about how the school got here,"saidw � d`
longtime board member William
Ruland."The most important thing is $ ;
that it's here and will be used for the
betterment of the community." The
