Review with ZBA Consultant scheduled scoping hearing DEIS, The Enclaves Page 4 of 3 – March 15, 2018 Organizational and Special Meeting Agenda Scoping Hearing for DEIS – The Enclaves Hotel & Restaurant Southold Zoning Board of Appeals SCOPING HEARING DRAFT ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STATEMENT (DEIS) SPECIAL EXCEPTION THE ENCLAVES HOTEL AND RESTAURANT 5:30 P.M. For Special Exception Use Permit for a hotel and restaurant to be located at 56655 Main Road, (NYS Route 25) in the hamlet of Southold, Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York (the “subject property”). The subject property is approximately 6.75 acres and designated as Suffolk County Tax Map No. 1000-63-3-15. The proposed action, designated as “The Enclaves,” includes the construction of a two story hotel with a total of 40 rooms and 4 separate cottages (total 44 units). Amenities include an outdoor swimming pool and patio area. Also proposed is the conversion of an existing single family dwelling fronting Main Road to a 74 seat, sit-down restaurant. The proposed hotel, cottages and restaurant would include the respective parking spaces. The purpose of this hearing is to allow involved agency and public review of the Draft Environmental Impact Statement, and to provide a forum to address potential significant adverse impacts, as well as other relevant issues.
