I have inspected the existing as constructed deck for the Price Property at 1345 Long Creek
Drive in Southold. I certify to the best of my knowledge the footings, strappings at the above
referenced deck and foundations were installed per plan and the grippable handrails were
installed. I certify to the best of my knowledge the deck was constructed in accordance with New
York State Building Codes.

INSTRUCTIONS
a.This application MUST be completely filled in by typewriter or in ink and submitted to the Building Inspector, with 4
sets of plans, accurate plot plan to scale. Fee according to schedule.
b.Plot plan showing location of lot and of buildings on premises,relationship to adjoining premises or public streets or
areas, and waterway.
c. The work covered by this application may not be commenced before issuance of Building Permit.
d.Upon approval of this application,the Building Inspector will issue a Building Permit to the applicant. Such a permit
shall be kept on the premises available for inspection throughout the work.
e.No building shall be occupied or used in whole or in part for any purpose what so ever until the Building Inspector
issues a Certificate of Occupancy.
f. Every building permit shall expire if the work authorized has not commenced within 12 months after the date of
issuance or has not been completed within 18 months from such date. If no zoning amendments or other regulations affecting the
property have been enacted in the interim,the Building Inspector may authorize,in writing, the extension of the permit for an
addition six months. Thereafter, a new permit shall be required.

survey prepared by Peconic Surveyors, P.C., dated January 24, 2017, and
stamped approved on April 19, 2017.

If the proposed activities do not meet the requirements for issuance of an
Administrative Permit set forth in Chapter 275 of the Southold Town Code, a

Dear Mr. Price,
Based on the information you have submitted, the Department of Environmental
Conservation has determined that the property landward of the 10 foot contour line, as
shown on the survey prepared by John T. Metzger dated 1/24/2017, is beyond Tidal
Wetlands Act (Article 25)jurisdiction. Therefore, in accordance with the current Tidal
Wetlands Land Use Regulations 6NYCRR Part 661.4 (iii) no permit is required for
existing structures above the 10 foot contour line, and we do not issue permits for
already built structures that are located below the 10 foot contour line. (DEP-ARNO)
Be advised, no construction, sedimentation, or disturbance of any kind may take
place seaward of the tidal wetlands jurisdictional boundary, as indicated above,
without a permit. It is your responsibility to ensure that all precautions are taken to
prevent any sedimentation or other alteration or disturbance to the ground surface or
vegetation within Article 25 jurisdiction which may result from your project. Such
precautions may include maintaining adequate work area between the tidal wetland
jurisdictional boundary and your project (i.e. a 15' to 20' wide construction area) or
