Ordinance for the above referenced, please be advised that the
Trustees have inspected the property on March 17, 1988.
The Board has approved your request for a waiver for the
construction of a deck, gazebo, and stairs landward of the
bulkhead. The Board declared lead agency on the remainder of the
application.

The validity of this permit is or may be subject to the approval of other governmental or municipal
authorities. The Town accep[s no responsibility 'n applyinc~ for or obtaining SUCh approval, In the
event that such app'oval is necessary, the hc der of this permit shall not commence operations here-
under until such approval has been obtained in writing. Zbe failure to obtain such other approvat when
reouired shall subject this permit to immediate revocation by the Trustees upon receipt by the
Trustees· of written notme from such other governmental or municipal authorities of its refusal or
disapproval.
The applicant does by the acceptance of this permit, assume all responsibility for operations under-
taken pursuant to this permit, and shatl take ail precautions for the prevention of in,'Jries to persons
and proper~y resulting from such operatior~s. By such acceptance, the applicant also agrees to indemni- -
fy and save harmless the Town, and its officers, agents and employees from any and al claims arising
from ooerations under this permit and any ann all aczs or omissions of applicant, his agent and
employees.
The applicant and the owner and occuoants of th e premises upon which the operations authorized by
~his permit are being conducted, do, by the acceptance of this permit, give consent to the Town, and
its officers and emplo,,,ees to enter upon the prem:ses where such operations are ue[ng conduczed To
make such inspections as the Town may deem necessary to insure that such operations are being con-
ducted in conformity with this permit.
This. operation will not substantially:
A. Adversely affect the wetlands of the town.
B. Cause damage from erosion, turbidit',, or siltation.
C. Cause saltwater intrusion into the fresh water resources of the town.
D. Adversely affect fish, shellfish or other beneficial marine organisms, aquatic wildlife and vege-
ration or the natural habitat thereof.
E. 'Increase the danger of flood and storm-tide damage.
F. Adversely affect navigation on tidal waters or the tidal flow of the tidal waters of the town.
G. Change the course of any channel or the natural movement or flow of any waters.
H. Weaken or undermine the lateral support of other lands in the vicinity.

Dear Mr. Haje:
The following action was taken by the Board of Town Trustees during
its regular meeting held on June 21, 1990 regarding your request to
amend the above permit,
RESOLVED that the Town Trustees Approve the request of
En-Consultants, Inc. in behalf of Carol and Bernard Kiernan to
amend permit number 483 to add 10' to an existing 60' x 4' dock.
This letter is to be an amendment to the original permit and as such
shall be attached herewith.
Ail other terms and conditions remain as written in the original
permit.

Dear Mr. Haje:
The following action was taken by the Board of Town Trustees
during their regular meeting held on September 28, 1989 regarding
your request to amend the above permit,
RESOLVED that the Town Trustees Approve the request of Bernard and
Carol Kiernan to amend permit number 483 to reflect 4' x 40' and 4'
x 60' fixed dock.
This letter is to be an amendment to the original permit and as
such shall be attached herewith. Since permit No. 483 is due to
expire in July of 1990, no extension of same is necessary at this
time.
Ail other terms and conditions remain as written in the original
permit.

Dear Mr. Strang:
The following action was taken by the Board of Town Trustees during
their regular meeting held on May 25, 1988 regarding the above matter.
WHEREAS, Garrett A. Strang on behalf of Bernard & Carole Kiernan applied
to the Southold Town Trustees for a permit
under the provisions of the Wetland Ordinance of the Town of
Southold, application dated February 8, 1988, and
WHEREAS said application was referred to the Southold Town
Conservation Advisory Council for their findings and
recommendations, and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held by the Town Trustees with
respect to said application on May 25, 1988 at which time all interested
persons were given an opportunity to be heard, and
WHEREAS, the Board members have personally viewed and are
familiar with the premises in question and the surrounding area, and WHEREAS,
the Board has considered all the testimony and documentation submitted
concerning this application, and
WHEREAS, the Board has determined that the project as proposed will not
affect the health, safety and general welfare of the people of the town,
NOW, THEREFORE. BE IT
RESOLVED that Garrett A. Strang on behalf of Bernard & Carole Kiernan
BE AND HEREBY IS GRANTED PERMISSION UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF
THE WETLAND ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF SOUTHOLD TO: construct
a catwalk from a bulkhead, across the beach to a fixed dock leading to
a floating dock m a "T" configuration. Property is located on North Parish
Drive, Southold.
This permit will expire two years from the date it is signed if work has
not commenced by said date. There are two inspections required and the

Trustees are to be notified upon the completion of the work.
Prior to the issuance of said permit by the Clerk, the applicant
shall file with the Clerk a certificate that he has public liability insurance
policies insuri~g against any liability which may ar~se
in the performance of the operations pursuant to such permit in such amount
as shall be fixed by the Trustees, which said policies shall name the Town
as a name ~nsured. Please take further notice that
this declaration shonld not be considered a determination made for any
other department or agency which may also have an application pending
for the same or similar project.
Please return to the Building Dept. for a determination on the need
of any other permits that may be required for this project.
Kindly remit $10.00 for inspection fees that are due at this time.

The following recommendations were made by the CAC at their regular
meeting held Thursday, April 14, 1988:
No. 614 - Oyster Farm Associates by Netecl of America, Ltd. - Table
until receipt of additional information.
No. 615 - Bernard and Carole Kiernan - Recommend approval.
No. 616 - John C. Vassil - Recommend approval.
No. 617 - Janet Swanson - John Holzapfel is to contact Jay Tanski
at Sea Grant for advise. Mr. Holzapfel will advise the
TRustees of the CAC recommendation at the Trustees'
meeting.
No. 618 - Wilhelm Franken- Recommend approval.
No. 619 - Daniel Stegner - Recommend approval with the stipulation
that bulkhead is placed-in kind, in place or landward.
No. 620 Roger and Dorothy kamour - Recommend approval.
No, 621 - Cedar Beach Park Associates, Inc. - Recommend approval
with the stipulation that the bank slope be maintained and
that the Bay Constable check the work during dredging.

On a motion by John Holzapfel, seconded by Margaret Feeney, it was
RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Trustees disapproval of Wetland
Application No. 6-1-90-78-4-45 submitted by Land Use Company on behalf of
Core¥ Creek Association to install a 4' x 35' catwalk leading to a 3' x 10' ramp,
6' x 140' float with seven (7) 4' x 18~ fingers and 30 mooring piles. An existing
"L" -shaped 2~ x 55' catwalk and 4' x 10~ float to be removed. Catwalks to be
elevated over existing tidal wetland area and facility would be for the property
owners of Corey Creek Estates only. The CAC recommends disapproval because
of concern over the sewage discharge and chemicals from the amount of boats.
Also it is a valued shellfish area and possible ISSC regulations may cause the
area to be closed to shellfishing should this project go through. The CAC
recommend the project be declared a Type I action with a po$it~ve~decla~'ation
that a full EIS be required.

On a motion by Bruce Loucka~ seconded by Stephen Angell, it was
RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Trustees approval with stip-
ulations of Wetland Application No. 5-2-90-15-9-9 submitted by Sanders & Thomas
~-~U.S. Dept. of Agriculture to install replacement bulkheads adjacent to
existing bulkheads along approximately 200 feet of northern end of USDA Orient
Point Harbor, replace ixisting earthen finger pier with wooden finger pier, and
install mooring piles and a maneuvering dolphin. The CAC recommends approval
with a stipulation that all runoff be contained. All runoff from the parking lots
and adjacent areas be contained by installing drywells in the parking lots.

and slope the pavement away from the creek.
