The validity of this permit is or may be subject to the approval of other governmental or municipal
authorities. The Town accepts no responsibility in applying for or obtaining SUCh approval, In the
event that such approval'is necessary; the holder of this permit shall not commenc~ operations here-
under until such approval~has been obtained in writing. The failure to obtain such other approval,when
required shall subject this permit to immediate revocation by the Trustees upon ~.ecejpt by the
Trustees. of written n~otice from such other governmental or municipal authorities of its refusal dr_
disapproval7
The applicant does by the acceptance of this permit, assume all responsibility for operations under-
taken pursuant to this permit, and shall take ali precautions for the prevention of injuries to persons
and property resulting from such operations. By such acceptance, the applicant also agrees to indemni-
fy and save harmless the Town, and its officers, agents and employees from any and all claims arising
from operations under this permit and any and all acts or omissions of applicant, his agent and
employees.
The applicant and the owner and occupants of the premises upon which the operations authorized by
this permit are being conducted, do, by the acceptance of this permit, give consent to the Town. and
its officers and employees to enter u pon the premises where such operations are being conducted to
make such inspections as the Town may deem necessary to insure that such operations are being con-
ducted in conformity with this permit.
This operation will not substantially: A. Adversely affect the wetlands Of the town.
B. Cause damage from erosion, turbidit,/or siltation.
C. Cause saltwater intrusion into the fresh water resources of the town,
D. Adversely affect fish, shellfish or other beneficial marine organisms, aquatic wildlife and vege-
tation or the natural habitat thereof.
E. Increase the danger of flood and storm-tide damage.
F. Adversely affect navigation on tidal waters or the tidal flow of the tidal waters of the town.
G. Change the course of any channel or the natural movement or flow of any waters.
H. Weaken or undermine the lateral support of other lands in the vicinity.
I. Otherwise adversely affect the health, safety and general welfare of the people of the town.

Dear Dr. Harris:
Please find enclosed a copy of the above referenced application with
a copy of the survey and determination rendered by the Board of Town Trustees
during their meeting held on June 25, 1987.
The Town Trustees request that your good office give due consideration
to the coliform generation toward Hallocks Bay, with any technically advanced
or new sanitary system be constructed if-it is deemed necessary for this
project. .

Dear Mr. Kerbs:
The following action was taken by the Board of Town Trustees during their
regular meeting held on June 25, 1987 regarding the above referenced application:
WHEREAS, Alexander Koke/Jon Kerbs applied to the Southold Town Trustees for a permit
under the provisions of the Wetland Ordinance of the Town of
Southold, application dated March i, 1986, and
WHEREAS said application was referred to the Southold Town
Conservation Advisory Council for their findings and
recommendations, and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held by the Town Trustees with
respect to said application on August 28, 1986 at which time all interested
persons were given.an opportunity to be heard, and
WHEREAS, ~he Board members have personally viewed and are
familiar with the premises in question and the surrounding area, and
;CrlEREAS, the Board has considered all the testimony and documentation
submitted concerning this application, and
WHEtLEAS, the Board has determined that the project as proposed will
not affect the health, safety and general welfare of the people of
the town,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT '
RESOLVED that Alexander Koke/Jon KerbsBE AND HEREBY IS GRANTED PERMISSION UNDER TIlE
PROVISIONS OF THE WETLAND ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF SOUTHOLD TO: Construct a one family
house, driveway, sanitary sysnem and well and to fill with approximately 100 cu. yds.
of {ill to raise the grade. Property is located on Narrow River Road, Orient.
Approval is subject to the following: Ail construction being kept within the
Building envelope of the survey provided. The house is =o b~ constructed on open
pilings as discussed on field survey with the applicant, and subject to the approval
of the Suffolk County Department of Health Services. A communication is to be
forwarded to them requesting that they gmve due consideration to the coliform
generation toward Hallocks Bay with any technically advanced or new sanitary system

be constructed if it is deemed necessary.
This permit will expire on June 25, 1989 if work has
not commenced by said date. There are two inspections required and
the Trustees are to be notified upon the completion of the work.
Prior to the issuance of said permit by the Clerk, the applicant
shall file with the Clerk a certificate that he has public liability
insurance policies insuring against any liability which may arise
in the performance of the operationa pursuant to such permit in such
amount as shall be fixed by the Trustees, which said policies shall
name the To~na as a name insured. Please take further notice that
this declaration should not be considered a determination made for
any other department or agency which may also have an application
pending for the same or similar project.
A $10.00 Wetland Inspection fee is due at this time.
PLEASE tLETUR~N TO THE BUILDING DEPT. FOR A DETERMINATION ON THE NEED OF ANY OTHER
TOWN PERMITS THAT MAY BE REQUIRED FOR THIS PROJECT.

(Addendum)
The following conditions apply to this permit:
1. All necessary precautions shall be taken to preclude contamination of
any wetlands or waterway by suspended solids, sediment, fuels~ solvents,
lubricants, epoxy coating, paints, concrete, ~eachate or any other
environmentally deleterious materials associated with the project work.
2. All fill and spoil material shall be suitably contained at the work
site so as to prevent its eroding, leaching or otherwise entering
into the adjacent wetlands and waterways.
