Present were: Leslie Kanes Weisman, Chairperson/Member Gerard P. Goehringer, Member Patricia Acampora, Member Nick Planamento, Member Eric Dantes, Member Kim Fuentes, Zoning Board Assistant Call to Order at 5:05 P.M. by Chairperson Weisman. WORK SESSION: 1. Completion of 2017 ZBA required annual training by members. 2. Update on proposed code changes: B&B's and Special Exception Permits. Town Board Meeting scheduled for January 16, 2018 at 7:30 pm. 3. Discuss January 4, 2018 ZBA Organizational Meeting—Meeting to begin at 8:00 am. 4. Special Event Permits Committee to be created. Administrative authority to be assigned to the Town Board. 5. New 2018 draft templates to review by members. Page 2—Minutes Special Meeting held December 21, 2017 Southold Town Zoning Board of Appeals POSSIBLE RESOLUTION TO CLOSE THE FOLLOWING HEARINGS: JON TOMLINSON AND HERB LEWIS#7111 —Request for a Variance under Article III, Section 280-15 and the Building Inspector's August 14, 2017 Notice of Disapproval based on an application for a permit to construct an accessory in-ground swimming pool; at: 1) located in other than the code required rear yard; located at: 4525 Breakwater Road, Mattituck, NY. SCTM#1000-99-2-17. BOARD RESOLUTION: Motion was offered by Chairperson Weisman, seconded by Member Goehringer to close the hearing reserving decision. Vote of the Board:Ayes: All. This Resolution was duly adopted (5-0). SHAWN FITZGERALD/FITZGERALD S P REV. LIV. TRUST #7115 — Request for a Variance from Article XXII Section 280-105C and the Building Inspector's July 27, 2017 Notice of Disapproval based on an application for building permit to construct an eight (8) foot deer fence, at; 1) more than the code required maximum four (4) feet in height when located in the front yard, located at: 495 Paddock Way, Mattituck, NY. SCTM#1000-107- 4-2.10. BOARD RESOLUTION: Motion was offered by Chairperson Weisman, seconded by Member Goehringer to adjourn the hearing to January 4, 2018. Vote of the Board: Ayes: All. This Resolution was duly adopted (5-0). DILIBERATIONS/POSSIBLE DECISIONS/RESOLUTIONS: The Board continued with agenda items, and commenced deliberations on the following application. This Resolution was duly adopted(5-0). Page 3—Minutes Special Meeting held December 21, 2017 Southold Town Zoning Board of Appeals RESOLUTIONS: A. RESOLUTION ADOPTED: Motion offered by Chairperson Weisman, seconded by Member Goehringer to authorize advertising of hearings for the next Regular Meeting to be held January 4, 2018 commencing at 8:00 AM. Vote of the Board:Ayes:All. This Resolution was duly adopted (5-0). B. RESOLUTION ADOPTED: Motion was offered by Chairperson Weisman, seconded by Member Goehringer to approve minutes from December 7, 2017, Regular Meeting. Vote of the Board:Ayes:All. This Resolution was duly adopted (5-0). C. RESOLUTION ADOPTED: Motion was offered by Chairperson Weisman, seconded by Member Goehringer to adjourn ZBA#7088—Michael Harkin without a date.Vote of the Board:Ayes:All. This Resolution was duly adopted (4-0). Member Dantes recused himself. There being no other business properly coming before the Board at this time, Chairperson Weisman declared the meeting adjourned.
