Dear Mr. Murphy:
The following action was taken by the Board of Town Trustees during their
regt~lar meeting held on April 21, 1988 regarding the above application:
WHEREAS, James F. Murphy, Jr. applied to the Southold Town Trustees for a permit
under the provisions of the Wetland Ordinance of the Town of
Southold, application dated December 10, 1987, and
WHEREAS said application was referred ro the Southold Town
Conservation Advisory Council for their findings and
recommendations, and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held by the Town Trustees with
respect to said application on April 2L~_ 1988 at which time all interested
persons were given an opportunity to be heard, and
WHEREAS. the Board members have personally viewed and are
familiar with the premises in question and the surrounding area, and
WHEREAS, the Board has considered all the testimony and documentation
submitted concerning this application, and
WHEREAS, the Board has determined that the project as proposed will
not affect the health, safety and general welfare of the people of
the town,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED that James F. Murphy, Jr. BE AND HEREBY IS GRANTED PERMISSION
UNDER THE
PROVISIONS OF THE WETLAND ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF SOUTHOLD TO:
Construct a 4~ wide catwalk, to be constructed to the length needed to extend same,
landward to bring it out of the intertidal wetlands, a 4' x 6' ramp to connect to a
5' x 20' float to be secured by s~x pilings to hold the float. Property is located at
735 Waterview Drive, Southold.
This permit will expire two years from the date the permit is signed if work has
not commenced by said date. There are two inspections required and the

Trustees are to be notified upon the completion of the work.
Prior to the issuance of said permit by the Clerk, the applicant
shall file with the Clerk a certificate that he has public liability
insurance policies insuring against any liability which may arise
in the performance of the operations pursuant To such permit in such
amount as shall be fixed by the Trustees, which said policies shall
name the Town as a name insured. Please take further notice that
this declaration should not be considered a determination made for
any other department or agency~hich may also have an application
pending for the same or similar project.
The following fees are now due and payable:
4' x 6~ ramp 24 sq. ft.
5~ x 20 float 100 sq. ft.
$10.00 wetland inspection fee
6 pilings ~25.00 each

MARCH 24, 1988
The regular meeting of the Southold Town Conservation Advisory Council was
held Thursday, March 2q, 1988 at 4:30 P.M. at the Southold Town Hal, Main
Road, Southold, New York.

REPORTS
Margaret Feeney reported that she had attended the ZBA meeting regarding
the Cove project. At the same meeting the Kokes/Kerb property was on the
agenda. Ms. Feeney reported that there was a great deal of dissent against
the two projects. Discussion and decisions regarding both projects were
delayed to a later date.
The CAC secretary will be contacting Sophie Morris of the NYSDEC to obtain
the forms needed to' receive a, rebate from the state.
The CAC goes on record offering its sincerest thanks to Ralph Condit for
his service as a member and vice-chairman of the CAC,
DISCUSSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
On a motion by John Holzapfel, seconded by John Tuthill, it was
RESOLVED to recommend to the $outhold Town Trustees approval of Wetland
