Statement of the effect, if any, on the wetlands and tidal waters of the town that may result by reason of such proposed operations (use attachments if appropriate): Although the subject property contains no wetlands, there are vegetated tidal wetlands present to the north within 100 feet of the property and the existing dwelling. The project consists primarily of the in-place replacement of the existing attached decks and steps;replacement of the existing pergola; and installation of an outdoor shower, pool fencing, and pool equipment associated with a recently constructed swimming pool located outside Chapter 275 jurisdiction(see attached Trustees letter dated May 30,2017). The project requires no clearing of existing vegetation or disturbance to any portion of the property not already improved with existing structures or developed surfaces;and each of the proposed structures is to be located at least partially over or in place of an existing structure or developed surface. In fact, the total square footage of the attached decks and lot coverage will decrease as a result of the project. As additional mitigation, the outdoor shower will be equipped with a gravel drain connected to a drywell located more than 100 feet from wetlands; and a temporary project limitmg silt fence will be set in place between the work site and the offsite tidal wetlands to control and contain site disturbance and potential runoff during construction activities. Therefore, the project will essentially maintain the existing site conditions and will not have any adverse effects on the adjacent vegetated tidal wetlands.
