The validity of this permit is or may be subiect to the approval of other governmental or municipal
authorities. The Town accepts no responsibility in applying for or obtaining such approval. In the
even[ that such approval is necessary, the holder of this oermi~ shall not commence operations here-
under until such approval has been obtained in writing. The failure to obtain such other approval when
required shall subject this permit to immediate revocation by the Trustees upon receipt by the
Trustees · of written notice from such other governmental or municipal authorities of its refusal or
disapproval.
The applicant does by the acceptance of this permit, assume afl responsibility for operations under-
taken pursuant to this permit, and shall take ali precautions for the prevention of injuries to persons
and property resulting from such operations. By such acceptance, the applicant also agreesto indemni-
fy and save harmless the Town, and its officers, agents and employees from any and all claims arising
from operations under this permit and any and all acts or omissions of applicant, his agent and
employees.
The applicant and the owner and occupants of the premises upon which the operations authorized by
this. permit are being conducted, do, by the acceptance of this permit, give consent to the Town, and
its officers and employees to enter upon the premises where such operations are being conducted ~.o '
make such inspections as the Town may deem necessary to insure that such operations are being con-
ducted in conformity with this permit.
Thi~ operation will not substantially: A. Adversely affect the wetlands of the town.
B. Cause damage from erosion, turbidity or siltation.
C. Cause saltwater intrusion into the fresh water resources of the town.
D. Adversely affect fish, shellfish or other beneficial marine organisms, aquatic wildlife and vege-
tation or the natural habitat thereof.
E. Increase the danger of flood and storm-tide damage.
F. Adversely affect navigation on tidal waters or the tidal flow of the tidal waters of the town.
G. Change the course of any channel or the natural move~nent or flow of any waters.
H. Weaken or undermine the lateral support of other lands in the vicinity.
I. Otherwise adversely affect the health, safety a,nd general welfare of the people of the town.

Dear Mr. Morris:
Transmitted herewith is the action taken by the Board of
Trustees regarding the wetland application you submitted:
Moved by Trustee Kujawski seconded by Trustee Bredemeyer
WHEREAS, Daysman Morris applied to the Southold Town Trustees
for a permit under the provisions of the Wetland Ordinance of
the Town of Southold, application dated October 10, 1985 and
WHEREAS said application was referred to the Southold Town
Conservation Advisory Council for their findings and
recommendations and,
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held by the Town Trustees with
respect to said application on December 26, 1985 at which time all
interested persons were given an opportunity to be heard,
WHEREAS the Board members have personally viewed and are
familiar with the premises in question and the surrounding area;
and,
WHEREAS the Board considered all testimony and documentation
submitted concerning this application; and it is noted for the
record that there has been no public opposition; and
WHEREAS the Board has determined that the project as proposed
will not affect the health, safety and general welfare of the
people of the Town,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED that Daysman Morris be granted permission under the
provisions of the wetland ordinance of the Town of Southold,
New York with the stipulation that the site is stabilized with
vegetation to prevent its eroding, leaching or otherwise entering
into adjacent wetlands and waterways.
A $5.00 wetland inspection fee is now due and payable. Upon
remittance your permit will be forwarded by mail.

jetties.

RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town trustees approval of the
Wetland Applilcation Ko. 323 submitted by The Lagoon Association to
replace 50' S. jetty~ repair existing S. jetty, remov~ up to 215' o£ S.
Bulkhead and grade to natural beach; extend existing jetty 75'
shoreward in sandy beach; pass over 600 c.y. of littoral sand from
S. to N. and create a deposition basin, including maintenance of
deposition basfn and inlet dredging.
Vote of Council: Ayes: All
Motion carried.
On a motion made by Ralph Condit, seconded by Jeanne Marriner it was
RESOLVED to recommind to the Southold Town Trustees approval of the
Wetland Application ~o. $24 submitted by The Land Use Company on
behalf of Arthur J. Bujnowski to construct a timber jetty of
approximately 35' in length. The compartment between the proposed
structure and the one to the east shall be completely filled with
clean sand.

On a motion made by Jeanne Martinet, seconded by Ralph Condit it was
RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Trustees approval of the
Wetland Application No. 316 submitted by The Land Use Company on
behalf of Walter Wappus to reconstruct 45' of bayside timber
bulkhead within 18' and reconstruct in kind and in place 33' of
timber bulkhead on west side of property.

On a motion made by Martin Garrell, seconded by John Tuthill it was
RESOLVED to recommend'to the Southold Town Trustees approval of the
Wetland Application No. 317 submitted - Char!ie Caraftis (Mattituck
Fishing Station) by the North Fork Marine Construction, Inc.
to construct a timber bulkhead, 106' long. Bulkhead will be built
18" in front of existing bulkhead. Fill will be trucked in to backfill
bulkhead.

RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Trustees approval o~ the
Wetland Application No. 318 submitted.by The Biexedon Estate Property
Owners to maintenance dredge inlet to Petty's Pond. Approximately
6500 c.y. of spoil will be deposited on beach to westas beach nourish-
ment. Ten-year maintenance dredging permit is requested.

RESOLVED to table Wetland Appli'cation No. 319 submitted by Mr. Ted
Dowd. The Council wishes to meet with Mr. Dowd.

RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Trustees approval of the
Wetland Application No. 320 submitted by The Land Use Company on
behalf of the Mattituck Park Commission to reconstruct a timber jetty.
