Re: Application No. 8-88-90-4-21 -Robert E. Mitchell
Dear Mr. Fitzgerald:
The following action was taken by the Board of Town Trustees
during their regular meeting held on November 17, 1988 regarding the
above matter:-
WHEREAS, Proper-T Services on behalf of Robert E. Mitchell applied
to the Southotd Town Trustees for a permit under the provisions of
the Wetland Ordinance of the Town of Southold, application dated
August 3, 1988 and
WHEREAS said application was referred to the Southold Town
Conservation Advisory Council for their findings and recommendations,
and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held by the Town Trustees with respect
to said application on November 17, 1988, at which time all
interested persons were given an opportunity to be heard, and
WHEREAS, the Board members have personally viewed and are familiar
with the premises in question and the surrounding area, and
WHEREAS, the Board has considered all the testimony and documentation
submitted concerning this application, and
WHEREAS, the Board has determined that the project as proposed will
not affect the health, safety and general welfare of the people of
the town,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT
RESOLVED that Proper-T Services on behalf of Robert E. Mitchell BE
AND HEREBY IS GRANTED PERMISSION UNDER THE WETLAND ORDINANCE TO:
Construct 24' X 4' walkway, 12' x 3' hinged ramp, 16' x '6' floating
dock, install two-2 pile dolphins to secure floating dock, with the
stipulation that walkway be elevated above grade level. This permit
will expire two years from the date it is signed if work has not
commenced by said date. There are two inspections required and the
Trustees are to be notified upon the completion of the work.
Prior to the issuance of said permit by the Clerk, the applicant
shall file with the Clerk a certificate that he has public liability
insurance policies insUringagainst any liability which may arise in
the performance of the operations pursuant to such permit in such
amount as shall be fixed by the Trustees, which said policies shall
name the Town as the name insured. Please take further notice that
this declaration should not be considered a determination made for
any other department or agency which may also have an application
pending for the same or similar project.
The following fees are now due and payable:
$264.00 permit fees
$10.00 Wetland Inspection Fee

SOUTHOLD TOWN
CONSERVATION ADVISORY COUNCIL
September 26, 1988
The following recommendations were made by the Southold Town Con-
servation Advisory Council at its regular meeting on Tuesday,
September 20, 1988.
RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Trustees approval of
Wetland Application No. 641 of Laughing Waters Property Owners Association
to reconstruct in kind/in place approximately 227r of deteriorated timber
bulkhead. An area 3' seaward of said structure shall be dredge to
a depth of 3' at MLW. The resultant spoil, approximately 50 c.y.
of sand shall be utilized as backfill for the new bulkhead.
RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Trustees approval with
stipulation of Wetland Application No. 642 of Paul Ferdenzi to construct
a walkway 20' x4', hinged ramp 12' x 4' and folating dock 16~ x 6';
install two 8" piles to secure floating dock. Approval is with the stipulation
that ~t_he grass between the.lawn and water be disturbed as little as possible.
Tabled Wetland Application No. 643 of Nicholas Theoharides. The
CAC wishes to await the answers to questions posed by the NYS Department
of State.
RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Trustees approval of
Wetland Application No. 644 of Thomas E. Boyle to repair existing concrete
wall by reinforcing with rip-rap in fornt of and behind existing wall
in an attempt to prevent collapse. Truck in fill from an upland source
to place behind existing wall.

RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Trustees approval of
Wetland Application No. 645 of Thomas E. Boyle to construct a rock
bulkhead, approximately 90'.

the response to the questions listed on the DEC sheet.

RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Trustees approval of
Wetland Application No. 648 of Harold Knight to constaruct a 16' angled
bulkhead return on north side of porperty and backfill with 7_+ c.y.
of clean loam to be trucked in from an upland source. Return is needed
to prevent further loss of backfill from existing damaged bulkhead.
Calves Neck Road, Southold.
RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Trustees approval with
stipulations of Wetland Application No. 649 of Alfred Nadel to approve
completed project. Construct 127_+ I.f. of timber bulkhead above mean
high water to connect to existing adjacent bulkheads 11' from corner
of westerly, 6' from corner of easterly and backfill with 50 c~y. of
clean upland fill. Construct timber pier, 4' x 18' catwalk, minimum
of 3' above grade, 4' x 12' hinged ramp, 6' x 16' float anchored by
two piles. Approval is with the stipulation that catwalk be elevated
the standard 4' above grade of marsh and that runoff from roof and
lawn be contained on property (suggest use of dry wells, etc.)
Robinson Road, Southold.
RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Trustees approval with
stipulations of Wetland Application No. 658 of Port of Egypt Enterprises,
Inc. to erect a 25,440 square foot boat storage 15uilding. The stipulations
would be:
1. Use a pervious driveway surface.
2. Suitable dry well system for roof runoff.
3. Add pumpout station.
