Bredemeyer,III President Re: Request for Determination Milliken - Fishers Island Dear Mr. Bredemeyer: As you may recall, I have been the agent for the Milliken's and their architects for quite some time now and I orginally had contacted your Board on April 23, 1987 with regards to a determination of jurisdiction for the construction of the Milliken home. Now that the construction is nearing completion, The Milliken's asked that I visit their property to see if some cutting of dead branches and the cutting down of some 2"-3" diameter trees could be done. I visited the site on April 5, 1988 and at that time, met with the architect an an arborist that %he Milliken's have retained, The trees that have been selected for removal have been marked with bright orange tape. I have contacted the N.Y.S.D.E.C. and have been informed that pursuant to Article 24, section 0701.4 that this activity is allowed without having to first obtain a permit. Since the Southold Town Trustees regulations closely follow that of Article 24 (Freshwater Wetlands) of the N.Y. State Environmental Conservation Law, it would be appreciated if your Board would also allow this action. I have included a copy of the survey of the property and will be on Fishers Island on Saturday, April 16, 1988 if you would like me to be present when you inspect the site. ~EJ/te Enc.
