LOUISA JEFFERSON:
This picture is of Wayland Jefferson’s mother, Louisa Jefferson. The
undated photo was taken at the Howard Studio that was located on Main
Street in Greenport. Her other son, Cephas, worked in the Dayton stables
when he grew up. Louisa died of pneumonia in 1907.
