Economic Development Committee Meeting August 17, 2017

In Attendance: Sara Garretson, Denis Noncarrow, Rona Smith, Donielle Cardinale, John Stype,
Leslie Merinoff
Excused: Supervisor Scott Russell, Deputy Supervisor Ruland, Jennifer Del Vaglio
Meeting called to order at 2:30 p.m.
Minutes from the July meeting were approved.
The Economic Development Committee page on the Town website should be a place for local
businesses to go to gather information. The committee discussed creating a flow chart separating
business and personal topics. The committee visited other websites to gather ideas. The addition
of a General Mailbox for people to ask questions was suggested.
The committee discussed meeting with each Department Head and their staff to gain insight on
how each of their department’s work. The EDC would like to learn how to guide residents and
commercial businesses through each process within each Town department.
The EDC plans to meet with the Town Board to discuss their efforts. Sara volunteered to draft a
memo to the Town Board. The EDC will review the memo and discuss their topics for the Town
Board when they meet again in September.
The meeting adjourned at 4:30 p.m.
