Economic Development Committee Meeting May 16, 2017
Town Hall Conference Room
In Attendance: Denis Noncarrow, Rona Smith, Donielle Cardinale, John Stype, Sara Garretson,
Jennifer DelVaglio
Excused: Supervisor Scott Russell, Deputy Supervisor William Ruland,
Meeting called to order at 2:30 p.m.
The Economic Development Committee welcomes local business owner Jennifer DelVaglio as a
new member.
Minutes from the February and March meetings were approved.
Organizations visited by committee members were as follows:
Denis – Chamber of Commerce, Donielle – Mattituck Chamber Sara- Greenport BID, Rona –
East Marion, Orient, Mattituck/Laurel Associations
Grant Work - Sara reported NY State released RFP, drafted notes on grant and gave to Denis to
inform local businesses
Alternative Waste Water Systems – John reported that the County approved four systems, they
are working out the rules. Needs to be approved by the health department.
Transportation - East Hampton received a $100,000 grant for a shuttle. The Transportation

Committee is meeting May 24.
Communication – Denis went to the job fair and the turn-out was great.
Flyer – Committee is going to review the flyer and focus on a link for the EDC page on the town
website.
Denis provided a hand out for a new bill for the committee to review and discuss at the next
meeting.
The meeting adjourned at 4:00 p.m.
