Monthly Report: August 2017
2017 SUMMER SEASONAL STAFF:
Six additional beach staff were hired. This helped fill some of
the vacancies that resulted from staff leaving for college.
FALL BROCHURE & PROGRAMS:

The fall brochure was an insert in the Suffolk Times on August 10. Several classes sold out the first
day, including the new Astronomy Class at the Custer Institute, Tai Chi and Walk 15. Many of the fall
programs will be starting after Labor Day and others during the month of October.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH:
I have reached out to the local schools and their PTOs to help promote our fall programs through the
posting and distribution of fliers.
2018 BUDGET REQUEST:
Detailed estimates of the anticipated 2018 expenditures and revenues was reviewed and submitted to
the Town Clerk.
RECREATION DEPARTMENT DEPOSITS & EXPENDITURES:
Following are copies of our monthly
bank statement. Please note that any withdrawals on the bank statement are program refunds for
those participants who paid with a credit card.
