Footings in basement were put in place for the new point loads we specified on the drawings going down into the basement. 2. We visited the site when the foundation was put in and verified that the walls were damp proofed before backfilling was done. 3. During framing we verified the steel strapping on each stud to the sill, Hurricane clips at each rafter, ridge strapping, corner hold downs and nailing conforming to our code sheet provided in the construction set.The Framing met all the criteria as called out on the construction drawings.All Steel joist connections were done at double members and ledgers.ACQ lumber was used for the outdoor deck areas. - - 4. Insulation was found to meet the requirements of the 2010 NY State Code that this job was filed under. It met and exceeded the 2010 code.The garage was found to be properly separated and fire caulked before finishing. 5. Rough plumbing was found to be satisfactory.We directed the contractor to fix existing plumbing that did not meet code and the upgrades were completed.We are awaiting the no lead solder certification. 6. The contractor enlarged the deck and attached please find an updated plan with changes shown. 7. The contractor has notified us that the storm shutter plywood is being sized for the windows. 8. We are awaiting the electrical underwriter's certification. We feel confident that the renovation has met and exceeded the 2010 NY State Code. If the Underwriters Certificate and window storm protection items are presented, and all construction is acceptable to the Building Inspector of Southold,this letter will serve as our certification of the project.'
