The proposed Local Law entitled, "A Local Law in relation to an Amendment to Chapter 260, Vehicles and Traffic, in connection with Traffic and Pedestrian Safety" reads as follows: LOCAL LAW NO. 2017 A Local Law entitled, "A Local Law in relation to an Amendment to Chapter 260, Vehicles and Traffic, in connection with Traffic and Pedestrian Safety". BE IT ENACTED by the Town Board of the Town of Southold as follows: I. Purpose. The purpose of this local law is to improve safety for pedestrians and vehicles, as well as dealing with impacts to the public's health, safety and welfare. H. Chapter 260 of the Code of the Town of Southold is hereby amended as follows: I i Amendments to Chapter 260 Public Hearing June 6, 2017 page 2 §260-4. Stop intersections with stop signs. SEVERABILITY If any clause, sentence, paragraph, section, or part of this Local Law shall be adjudged by any court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, the judgment shall not affect the validity of this law as a whole or any part thereof other than the part so decided to be unconstitutional or invalid. IV. EFFECTIVE DATE This Local Law shall take effect immediately upon filing with the Secretary of State as provided by law. I have a signed affidavit that this has been noticed by the Town Clerk and also that it has been noticed in the Suffolk Times. That's all I have.
