Dear Mr. McDonald:
The following action was taken by the Board of Town Trustees
during its regular meeting held on September 28, 1995 regarding
the above mat~er:
WHEREAS, applied to the Southold Town T~ustees for a permit
under the provisions of the Wetland Ordinance of the Town'of
Southold, application dated August ll, 1995, and,
WHEREAS, said application was referred to the Southold Town
Conservation Advisory Council for thei~ finrtln~s and
recommendations, and
WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was held by the Town Trustees with
respect to said application on September 28, 1995, at wnich t/me
all interested persons were given an opportunity to be heard,
an d,
W~IEREAS, the Board members have personally viewed and are
f~m~l{aw with the premises in question and the surrounding area,
and,
WHEREAS, the Board has considered al/ the testimony and
documentation submitted concern~ tl~s application, and,
WHEREAS, the structure complies with the standa-d set forth in
ChapTer 37-18 of the Southold Town Code,
WHEREAS, the Board has determined that the project as proposed
will not affect the health, safety and general welfare of the
people of the town,
NOW THEREFORE BE ~,
RESOLVED, that the Board of TrusTees approves the application off
WI-[,L[Ai~I AND ~RK MC DONALD to reconstruct existing bulkhead
blown out by i2/22/94. Embankment must be re-vegetated so the
over land flow of water does not result in siltation of surface
water. Located 21515 Soundview Ave., Southold.
Permit to construct project will expire two years from the date
it is signed ff not started. Fees must be paid, if applicable,
and permit issued within six months of the date of *h{~
notification.
Two inspections are required and the Trustees are to be notified
:upon completion of said project.

means the work can be done immediately, even though final
approval is not granted. The Board feels uo stop the work will
do more harm than good.

At the meeting of the Southold Town Conservation Advisory Council held
Thursday, August 2L~, 1995 the following action was taken:

Moved by Bruce Loucka, seconded by John Hagerty, it was
RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Board of Trustees APPEO~AL
of the Wetland Application of WILLIAM J. AND" MARK S.
rebuild existing bulkhead and replace existing decks,
stairs, etc. as necessary
The Council recommends approval with the provision that a non-turf buffer on
the embankment be installed to prevent further erosion.
