Box 1179 Souh%old Town Southold, N.Y. 11971 INd of Truslaes Dear Members, Fox Island, located in Spring Pond in East Marion,is part of Gardners Bay Estates. Our island suffered severe erosion this past winter despite previous efforts performed under Permit 1-4738- 03481/00004(enclosed).This permit was approved subsequent to the damage done by Hurricane Sandy to minimize the effects of similar future occurrences. These efforts were not sufficient to prevent significant erosion since then which is threatening the future of'the island. I am requesting a pre-submission conference as soon as possible for the Board of Trustees to visit Fox Island. The Board of Trustees is granted permission for a field inspection of the island. Roy Olsen, the Chairman of our Marine Committee,is spearheading our preservation project. He can be reached at 631-477-6440 or 631-261-2521. My contact information is 631-477-6351 or 516-659-0244. Please contact Mr. Olsen or myself with the date of your visit. - Very truly yours, Robert Manley President
