The purpose of the inspection was to determine if the as-built roof construction, primarily in the cathedral ceiling of the Gathering Room, falls within the allowable spans of The New York State Building Code. The as-built construction consists of 2"x10"rafters spaced at 16"on center, using Douglas Fir Larch#2 with Fb=1,450 psi minimum, which was a field change from the planned TJI rafters. The actual maximum clear span, measured along the horizontal is 15'-9". It is my professional opinion that the as-built construction provides for adequate support of the anticipated loads of the region.
