Dept. Conservation Advisory Council file RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Trustees DISAPPROVAL AS SUBMITTED Wetland Application No. 1-15-90-144-3-40.2 submitted by the Land Use Company on behalf of Frank Vermaelen, Jr to construct a single family dwelling and sanitary system on a 40,000 s.f. lot located on the west side of Bay Avenue. Dwelling to be located 125' landward of the tidal wetland boundary while sanitary system will be set back 212' from said line. House construction will require approx. 200 c.¥. of fill to be placed within building area and stabilized with vegetation cover. It will be necessary for access to cross a narrow area of formerly connected tidal wetlands, approx. 110 s.f. of wetland area will be impacted by the placement of 100 c.y. of fill necessary to construct a pervious driveway. The CAC suggests the applicant goes to the ZBA for the driveway on the south side of lot. By doing so, the driveway can function without destroying the wetlands.
