The inspection revealed the following: • Every stud was strapped to and wrapped under the sill with"LSTA 36" \ straps. s Every first and second floor stud was strapped across with"LSTA 18" straps. • Rafters were connected to top plates with either"H2.5 Hurricane Clips or RT10 Straps" • Every rafter was strapped across the ridge with"LSTA 18" straps • 5/8"Bearing Plates were installed on the sills. Based on my inspection, I hereby affirm to the best of my knowledge, belief and professional judgment, the strapping, as built, is in conformance with the plans as approved by the Town of Southold. Orient Point Permit No 29487 Z Dear Mr. Verity: At the request of my client, John Gazza, I inspected the above referenced premises for the certification of various items as follows: • TJI 360 series wood "I"joists were installed in lieu of the GPI 40 series wood "I" joists • Cutting of certain joists for the installation of plumbing pipes • The deviation from the approved plan, installing an upper deck over the dinette supported by a steel channel & LVL header. • The installation of fire-rated plywood in the elevator shaft to achieve the required fire resistance. I have no objection to the substitution of the GPI's with the TJI's. The joists cut to allow for the plumbing pipe can adequately support the design floor loads. I designed the steel channel for the upper deck support and recommended the use of fire-rated plywood to achieve the required fire resistance in the elevator shaft. Based on my inspection and the foregoing information, I hereby certify to the best of my knowledge, belief and professional judgment, the construction, as built, is in conformance with the applicable Town and State Building Codes. In addition, I am submitting herewith revised plans reflecting the above changes or modifications.
