Box 178 Orient NY 11957 Re: SCTM ~t3-2-7.9 Dear Ms. Levy, The following action was taken by the Board of Town Trustees during its regular meeting held on March 30, 1995 regarding the above matter: WHEREAS, ~r.r. EN R. LEV~, applied to the Southold Town Trustees for a permit under the provisions of the Wetland Ordinance of the Town of Southold, application dated February 6, 1995 and, WHEREAS, said application was referred to the Southold Town Conservation Advisory Council for their findings and recommendations, and WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was held by the Town Trustees with respect to said application on March 30, 1995, at which time all interested persons were given an opportunity to be heard, and, WHEREAS, the Board members have personally viewed and are familiar with the premises in question and the surrounding area, and, WHEREAS, the Board has considered all the testimony and documentation submitted concerning this application, and, WHEREAS, the structure complies with the standard set forth in Chapter 37-18 of the Southold Town Code, which will be listed on a separate page, and, WHEREAS, the Board has determined that the project as proposed will not affect the health, safety and general welfare of the people of the town, NOW THEREFORE BE IT, RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees approves the application of ELLEN R. LEVY to construct stairs down btuff to beach as follows: a 3' X 10' platform, a 3' X 16' set of stairs, a 3' X 5' platform, and a 3' X 50' set of stairs leading to beach. Permit to construct project will expire two years from the date it is signed. Fees must be paid, if applicable, and permit issued within six months of the date of this notification. CAC Bldg. Dept. Meeting of 2/14/95 The CAC recommends approval provided the project-not extend any further that the neighbor to the north and the elevation be 4~ above grade. Also the CAC recommend the Trustees require the rock piles be removed unless the-owner has a permit for them- 2380 Hobart Road. No. 1228 Moved by Stephen Angell. seconded by Jack Hagerty, it was RESOLV E) to recommend to the Southold Town Board of' Trustees of the Wetland Application of ELLEN RUTH LEVy construct 40" wide, 2 x 10", 4 x 4 post, 2 x 4 railing, CCA stairs from top of bank to tow of bluff. Elevation 38 feet, horizontal run 63 feet. Intend to keep stair 3' or more above ground. Demarest Road, Orient Vote of Council: Ayes: All Motion carried. No. 1229' Moved by Allan Connell. seconded by Jack Hagerty. it was RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Board of Trustees APPI~OVAL WITH STIPULATIONS of the Wetland Application of WILLIAM GALATI 88-5-61.2 to construct a 60~ Iow profile timber groin extending from existing retaining wall and approximately 2~ west of existing 85= high profile groin which will be removed immedia[el¥ upon completion of new. Proposed groin will be of same configuration as other replacement groins to west. and is in the mids~ of a large groin field which extends both east and west.
