GNCB Consulting Engineers, P.C. is the Engineer of Record for the Crary Geotechnical Associate Residence project under construction on Fishers Island. We have visited the David L.Freed,P.E. site to observe the construction, the majority of the structural portion of the Structural Associate project work is substantially complete. The front entrance porch work Richard A Centola,P.E. remains to be constructed. Of particular importance is the construction to resist the lateral force due to wind. We have reviewed the strapping and clip hardware, and exterior sheathing, elements required to resist wind. It is my opinion that the work is constructed in substantial conformance with our contract documents, and meets the building code structural requirements.
