Evans, Justice AYES: Dinizio Jr, Ruland, Doherty, Ghosio, Evans, Russell Public Heariniz 9:00 AM Coastal Erosion Hazard Appeal PH COUNCILMAN GHOSIO: NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Board of the Town of Southold hereby sets Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at 9:00 AM. at the Southold Town Meeting Hall, 53095 Main Road, Southold,New York as the time and place for a public hearing upon the Coastal Erosion Hazard Board of Review Appeal of the Mattituck Park District, which seeks relief from Section 111-4 and 111-6.3 of the Town Code to re-construct an existing dock in-kind within a nearshore area in a Coastal Erosion Hazard Area located on property on parcel SCTM# 1000-99-2-19.1, Mattituck Breakwater Shade Shelter, 5155 Breakwater Road, Mattituck, New York 11952, and directs the Town Clerk to publish notice in such appeal in the Suffolk Times newspaper not less than ten (10) days nor more than thirty (3 0) days prior to such hearing and to notify the applicant by first class mail. This public hearing has been noticed on the Town Clerk's bulletin board and I also have an affidavit that it has been published in the Suffolk Times. And that's all I have. I would also like to add that there is no shade shelter there at all. Inaudible. And it also helps people who come without an umbrella and something happens such as a rainstorm. Inaudible. SUPERVISOR RUSSELL: Would anybody else like to comment? The Trustees have examined this project, they have issued a permit with regards to it, however, with regards to the subject matter which falls into the coastal erosion zone they are unable to give a determination. However the Trustees have no objection to this project going forward. SUPERVISOR RUSSELL: Okay. COUNCILMAN GHOSIO: Inaudible. SUPERVISOR RUSSELL: Would anyone else like to comment on this hearing? The following areas are subject to protection under Chapter 275 of the Code of Southold. Town Clerk Application of Mattituck Park District- Coastal Erosion Hazard Area Appeal WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees denied the application of The Mattituck Park District (the "Applicant") for a permit to construct a 25' by 40' steel shade shelter supported by 6 foundation columns over a proposed 4" concrete slab on the property located at 5155 Breakwater Rd., Mattituck,NY along the shore of Mattituck Creek and the Long Island Sound.
