With regard to your letter dated April 13, 2017 requesting that two (2) trees
adjacent to a private canal on Goose Creek be cutdown, the Board of Trustees _

determined that same may be cut off at grade with the stumps to remain, and
removed from the property.
Any other activity within 100' of the wetland boundary requires a permit from this
office.
This is not a determination from any other agency.

Tree removal on Smith Drive South
Southold, New York
To Whom It May Concern,
On behalf of the membership of Goose Neck Property Owner's Association, I am
requesting permission to remove 2 trees adjacent to a private canal on Goose
Creek (see enclosed pictures). The trees exist on property on Smith Drive South in
Southold that belongs to Goose Neck Property Owner's Association (See SCT Map
# 1000-76-3-27).
As the pictures represent, one tree is leaning dangerously. The second tree is
upright, but dead.
We believe both trees represent a danger to person and property and should be
removed as soon as possible.
With your permission, we would like to have the trees professionally removed.
Our plan is to leave the stumps and the root systems to help slow natural erosion.
You have permission to access the site any time to inspect existing conditions.
