Cantrell, Elizabeth From: Susan Young <suyoung215@icloud.com> Sent: Wednesday, March 22, 2017 11:47 PM To: Cantrell, Elizabeth Cc: '1.A. CLAFLIN' Subject: Leader gutter drywell system Attachments: 36861-Z copy(dragged).pdf, 36861-Z copy (dragged) 2.pdf, 36861-Z copy(dragged) l.pdf Elizabeth, Good to finally meet you last night at the Trustee Meeting and see the board in action. Remember when I said, I "didn't know"whether the building had leaders, gutters and drywells? It turn out,the building has a modern system designed just before the current owner purchased. Attached are documents showing the drainage system described in engineering plans and the C of O that resulted from the work described in that application. The drywells are there plain as day, serving the gutters. The owner,John Claflin sent me the documents last night. Mr. Claflin explained that the previous owner went to great effort to obtain a C of O for the 1965 structure. A new drainage system was part of the effort required along and septic system. It was filed, approved and built and we are now using that system. They were going to build a much larger house. We are now the beneficiaries of this system.Although our plans are much more modest, the new roofs in the areas in question in the Trustee application, have gutters which are tied into that system. I hope the explanation and documents presented above are sufficient to show our compliance with the board's concern. I am staying at a local hotel, and will be available tomorrow morning. Then I am traveling over to Fishers Island. Thank you, Susan E.
