Lang, owners of the above-referenced property. The Langs seek to obtain a grandfather permit for a dock and retaining wall which were present on the property at the time of their 1981 purchase and which have not been rebuilt or expanded since that time. As I discussed with your office, there is no evidence that the structures did or did not exist in 1971. There is, however, a 1967 survey of the adjacent property and the 1988 survey of the premises both of which show the dock in its current location. Those surveys are annexed to Mr. Lang's affidavit. In 1981, my wife and I purchased a house situated on lot 137 overlooking West Lake in the Cedar Beach area of Southold. 3. When we purchased that property, the dock and low retaining wall were located on the property in the same location as they presently exist. 4. Annexed hereto is a blue print of a 1967 survey of the lot immediately to the west of our lot which depicts the dock in its present location. 5. Also attached is a survey of our property which depicts the dock. 6. No structural changes have been made to the dock or the retaining wall since we purchased the property. 7. I respectfully request that the application for a grandfather permit be granted. Lang for a grandfather permit for the dock which is located on their property. 2. In or about 1972, my wife and I purchased a house overlooking West Lake in the Cedar Beach area of Southold. 3. That property is diagonally across the lake from property which later was purchased by the Langs. 4. I recall that, at the time of our ~972 purchase, there was a dock located on the Lang property in the same location as the present dock is situated.
