AUTHORIZES THE TOWN CLERK TO PUBLISH AND POST PUBLIC NOTICE OF
PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER A PROPOSED LOCAL LAW FOR AN
AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 289 “VEHICLES, TRAFFIC AND PARKING
REGULATIONS” OF THE RIVERHEAD TOWN CODE
(§289-6. Turns. – Sound Avenue)
Councilman Dunleavy offered the following resolution,
which was seconded by Councilman Wooten
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED,
that the Town Clerk is hereby
authorized to publish and post the attached public notice to consider a proposed local
law to amend Chapter 289 entitled, "Vehicles, Traffic and Parking Regulations "of the
Riverhead Town Code, once in the April 13, 2017 issue of the News-Review
Newspaper, the newspaper hereby designated as the official newspaper for this
purpose, and to post same on the signboard in Town Hall; and be it further
RESOLVED,
that all Town Hall Departments may review and obtain a copy of
this resolution from the electronic storage device and, if needed, a copy of same may be
obtained from the Office of the Town Clerk.

that a public hearing will be held on the 2 day of May,
2017 at 2:20 p.m. at Riverhead Town Hall, 200 Howell Avenue, Riverhead, New York,
to consider a proposed local law to amend Chapter 289 of the Riverhead Town Code
entitled, "Vehicles, Traffic and Parking Regulations" as follows:

§ 289-6. Turns.
A. Pursuant to the authority granted by §1660 of the New York State Vehicle and
Traffic Law, the areas designated below restrict turns such that only right turns
shall be permitted at said location and a sign “right turn only” shall be posted at
the location:

South side of Sound Avenue at the access driveway leading from 2711 Sound
Avenue (k/k/a Grapes & Greens building) onto Sound Avenue
