TO: David Bers Architect FROM: Norman Wamback SUBJECT: Set-back Averaging, Re: Variance Appeal Dear David, Speaking with Damon in the Southold Town Building Department regarding the 12 by 36 inch wedge of the new construction that will be 12 inches under the zoning regulations, they said I could take the homes up to 300 feet on either side of me and measure the distance they are from the road, and then average the distance. Here are the results: Tax map # 123-5-17 Beirne 51' frontage 15'/2 feet from road # 123-5-18 Wamback (can't use in the averaging) # 123-5-19 Cain 106' frontage 30 feet from road # 123-5-20 Bergamini 106' frontage 10%2 feet from road # 123-5-21.2 Villanueva 123' frontage + 36 feet from road 92 total Dividing the total footage from the road by 4, I come up with an average of 23 feet.
