At the January 18, 2017 public hearing that was held on this . . application the application was tabled. The reason for this-is that the Board had wanted to see the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation's approval of the proposed project. This was based on the N.Y.S.D.E.C.'s recently revised requirements for the reconstruction of-existing groins. Please be advised that the MY.S.D.E.C. had required us to revise the plans for the project. The required revisions were to shorten both of the groins so that they would not extend seaward of the Apparent Low Water Line. With this we are now requesting to revise the project description to "Applicant proposes to reconstruct in place two 60' timber groins utilizing vinyl sheathing. .The Phone (631) 653-0607 a Fax (631) 653-3348 121 Jessup Ave o 2nd Floor © P.Q. Box 447 Quogue, New York 11959-0447 western groin will be shortened to 40' and the eastern groin shortened to 45'; both groins shall be low profile and a maximum of 18" above grade of the down drift beach." For the Boards review we have enclosed three copies of the revised project plans as well as a copy of the approval for the project recently issued by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation which was based on the required revisions. Upon the review of this material please feel free to contact me at any time with any questions or comments that you or other members of the Board regarding this matter. Respe y, Glellsit.
