Our office records show Wetland Permit#4479 dated June 29, 1995 to reconstruct an 8'x70' timber dock and add a 10' extension to it. There is not prior permit history for that dock. In 1998, Ms. Norris obtained an amendment to Wetland Permit#4479 to allow the installation of a boat lift. The present Board of Trustees reviewed — at the March 20, 2017 work session — your March 20, 2017 inquiry regarding Board sentiment about a new dock at the above referenced property. While this is not a determination, the Board is not inclined to permit new structures in high energy, long fetch environments in contradiction to exiting Town Code. At the meeting we requested,whether a new dock would be considered by the Trustees. They called into question any other dock in the area that had received their approval, but said if there were any that they would consider an application by made for their review. That being said,we checked the DART system for any NYSDEC permits that may have been issued on the lot-that is one parcel to the west(Sue Norris—SCTM#1000-115-9-4) of my clients lot. Attached you will find multiple listings of permits for this lot and some in the mid to late 1990's allowing for the extension of the pier(dock) and the inclusion of a boat lift in 1998. Our office was wondering if the Town Trustee's Office had issued permits allowing for the dock to be constructed, extended and the inclusion of the boat lift at this lot? Thanks in advance.
