As the Trustees are duty-bound to protect riparian rights of access to and over navigable waters of the tow~ equitably and fairly, we must of necessity rectify this situation in which Mr. Child's right have been unintentionally vioiated~ It is our suggestion that you convert your present mooring systems to one in which the boats are tied to fittings suspended from an offshore cable instead of individual pilings with the condition that no boats be tied so they ride south of a line perpendicular from the shore at your common property line with Mr. Childs. Such an arrangement could be suspended from several 10" - t2'' pilings or 3 - 2 pile dolphins. In exchange for such a change we would have no objection to your increasing the nu~mber of boats in your facility by one or two to cover the cost of cable insta!tation~ We believe you will save sufficient space to acco~:odate at least one more vessel if you carefully consider our suggestion~ If you are able to provide us such a plan this Spring, you might be in a position to work with Mr. Childs such that one marine contractor 'could install all pilings and fittings in the area in one day and save you both money° Unless we hear from you in one month we may be forced to survey all moorings in this cree~ and rescind and or modify existing permits to provide for 20' to 30' no-mooring easements on con, non property lines, if we are forced into such an action~ everyone in this creek will have fewer boats and the necessary strict enforcement of riparian rights will disadvantage us all.
