HomeMy WebLinkAboutAdministrative Employee retiree health insurance RESOLUTION 2016-1127 ADOPTED DOC ID: 12632 THIS IS TO CERTIFY THAT THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION NO. 2016-1127 WAS ADOPTED AT THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE SOUTHOLD TOWN BOARD ON DECEMBER 20,2016: RESOLVED that the Town Board of the Town of Southold hereby authorizes and directs Supervisor Scott A. Russell to enter into individual agreements with Administrative employees related to their retiree health insurance, provided that the Administrative employee is eligible for retiree health benefits consistent with NYSHIP Rules and Regulations and the CSEA Collective Bargaining Agreement, in which case the Town's percentage contribution will be the same as was in effect for retirees immediately prior to the effective date of the employee's separation from service. Evans, Justice AYES: Dinizio Jr, Ruland, Doherty, Ghosio, Evans, Russell Retiree Health Insurance Agreement This is an agreement by and between the Town of Southold and John A. Cushman II. 1. Pursuant to Town Board Resolution 2016-1127, adopted on December 20,2016,the Town has authorized the Town Supervisor to enter into individual agreements with Administrative Employees related to their retiree health insurance, provided that they are eligible for retiree health benefits consistent with NYSHIP's Rules and Regulations and the CSEA Collective Bargaining Agreement, in which case the Town's percentage contribution will be the same as was in effect for retirees immediately prior to the effective date of the employee's separation from service. 2. Cushman is an Administrative employee who is eligible for retiree health benefits consistent with NYSHIP's Rules and Regulations and the CSEA Collective Bargaining Agreement. 3. As a result,the Town's percentage contribution toward Cushman's retiree health insurance will be 100%; i.e.,the same as was in effect for retirees immediately prior to the effective date of Cushman's separation from service with the Town. 4. NYSHIP will become co-insurance to Medicare coverage, with Medicare as the primary coverage, as and when required by law. 5. Cushman has relied upon the terms and conditions set forth in this Agreement in deciding to and, in fact,retiring from service with the Town. There are no other agreements between the Town and Cushman related to Resolution 2016- 1127,oral or otherwise. 6.
