d. Upon approval of this application,the Building Inspector will issue a Building Permit to the applicant. Such a permit
shall be kept on the premises available for inspection throughout the work.
e.No building shall be occupied or used in whole or in part for any purpose what so ever until the Building Inspector
issues a Certificate of Occupancy.
f. Every building permit shall expire if the work authorized has not commenced within 12 months after the date of
issuance or has not been completed within 18 months from such date. If no zoning amendments or other regulations affecting the
property have been enacted in the interim,the Building Inspector may authorize, in writing,the extension of the permit for an
addition six months. Thereafter, a new permit shall be required.

RE: All-weather tennis court
Dear Mr. Caruso:
The following is a proposal/contract for the construction of an All-Weather Tennis Court located at
the above address. I have enclosed 2 signed proposals, please keep one for your records. Since
this work is capital improvement I have enclosed the necessary form. Unlike other local tennis
court contractors Court Order performs all our own excavating and laser grading. Homeowner
responsible for all surveys and permits.
All-Weather Tennis Court:
1) Homeowner will be responsible for providing an up-to-date survey.
2) Homeowner to obtain building permit.
3) Homeowner will have court staked out.
4) The dimensions of the court are not to exceed 60'x 120'.
5) Final grade of base provided by others. (All grading is to be done with a 5 channel
Laser operated grading machine.)
6) Herbicide entire court sub-base.
7) Spread 6 plus inches of.5 plus of R.C.A. blend over entire sub-base. (150 yards)
8) Final grade of court and compaction of stone base with vibratory roller.
(All grading is to be done with a 5 channel Laser operated grading machine.)
9) 2"layer of base coat asphalt. (Type B 3/4"stone binder, approximately 60 tons)
10) Installation of net posts sleeves in concrete footings. Foundation shall be so
situated as to provide a distance between posts of 42'. Concrete for foundations shall be
well-graded rock in rations of six standard 94-pound sacks of cement to not more than six
gallons of water, attaining a compressive strength of not less that 3500 lbs. per square inch
Foundations shall be so designed and poured, and the posts so set as not to cause cracking
or other damage'to the finished court surface. (24"x 24"x 30")
11) 1.5"layer of topcoat asphalt. (New York State Salisbury 1/4"type 1 mix,
approximately 60 tons before compaction)
12) Patch any bird baths to meet USTA specifications.
13) 2 coats of acrylic resurfacer,to insure that no bird baths exist deeper than 1/8 inch.
14) 3 coats of Laykold or Decoturf coloring system. 2 coats of texture course and 1
coat of
finish course,!(All coats of paint and cushion to be laid in opposite directions.)
15) 1 coat,of striping. (White)
y 16) Installation of net posts into sleeves. Posts shall be set plumb and true so as to
support the net at a height of forty-two"inches above the court surface at the net posts.
17) Hanging of one Court Order Royale net. Double braided on top half. Net when
erected shall be suspended form its top binding upon a vinyl-coated wire cable measuring
47' in length,and having a tensile strength of not less than 1,3001bs. Each corner of the net
shall have a tie string for securing the net to the posts. Tie strings shall be synthetic
material having a tensile strength of not less,than 285lbs.
18) Installation of center strap and clip The center strap is most important for the
adjustment of the net. At the center of the net located at the center strap anchor,the top of
the net should be 3' above the playing surface.
