Meeting Minutes
Multiple minutes will be approved during December meeting.
Sub-Committees
Website Sub-Committee: Lloyd Reisenberg, Denis Noncarrow, and James Dinizio met to discuss
the Town website. They discussed the process people need to go through to start a new business.
The EDC is looking to set up a page on the website with active links and a “How To” section.
This would not be a printable item.
Arts Consortium Sub-Committee: The point was raised on whether or not to have one or have a
permanent committee that deals with the arts sector. Rona and Sara will make a list of arts
vendors, artists and see what will be helpful to them.
Construction/Irrigation/Septic Sub-Committee: Steve Latham, Denis Noncarrow, and Donielle
Cardinale will work together to find out who is a septic business owner. They will contact them
to see if they are aware of new laws and protocols.
Grants Sub-Committee: This committee will look at grants that would help people to expand
their businesses.
Transportation Sub-Committee: There was talk of creating a transportation sub-committee to
address issues such as pumpkin traffic. John Stype would work on these issues.
A Business Communication Sub-Committee was mentioned as an idea to be formed.
Reaching Out to Younger Business Owners
John Stype suggested committee members attend Chamber of Commerce meetings to show
availability of the EDC and ask if they have any questions that they could answer. Also, the point
was raised that younger business owners do not go to Chamber dinners. The EDC will look into
ways to reach out to the twenty to thirty year olds.
Meeting adjourned at 5:02 p.m.
