This Regular Meeting of the Southold Town Tree Committee was called to order at 7:00 PM at
the Southold Town Annex. '
Minutes from the October 26, 2016 meeting were approved. °s
Discussion Items:
1. Dave selected the dates for our committee meetings for 2017.
2. With regard to our fall planting— Dave has spoken to various nurseries about getting 50
trees. The Committee made arrangements themselves to pick up the trees at the
nurseries. We received three bids for the installation of trees for our fall planting. It was f
agreed by the Committee to choose Lakeside Landscape Design &Maintenance to do the
planting. We hope to have all the trees"staged" and ready to go according to the various
types of trees and the appropriate location for the particular variety. Committee members
Jay Jansen, Frank Imbriano and Matt Campbell have already placed stakes in the ground
to mark spots for all trees. ,Committee members will drive to all locations to make sure
none of the stakes have been removed. We hope to start the planfing on Friday, 1;
November 25, 2016. j
3. The committee determined that the two trees which are located on Wickham's Avenue by
Wolf Pitt which are impeding the Town's installation of a sidewalk can be taken down
and have advised the Supervisor's office.
4. The two trees were cut down in Town in front of liquor store'and Bridgehampton
National Bank. Dave will drill %-1" holes and then someone from the Committee will -3
apply the root rot.
5. Jay Jansen will update maps for tree locations.
The next meeting of the Tree Committee will be December 14, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in the ;
Town Annex Board Room.
