Dear Ms. Tolman:
In connection with the above-captioned matter I am enclosing
an original and copy of the proposed deed from the Southold Town
Board of Trustees to Alfred W. Bascomb and Joan Bascomb together
with a current survey of the property in question,,outtined in red.
I understand this matter is scheduled for the October 1, 1980,
agenda. If the deed is acceptable to the Trustees kindly present
same for their signatures.

THIS INDENTURE ~?iADE IN DUPLICATE the day of
1980, between the TO~%%~ OF SOUTHOLD, in the County of Suffolk and
State of New York, by a majority of its duly elected Trustees,
and in pursuance of Chapter 615 of the Laws of New York passed in
1893 and in pursuance of a written resolution adopted by a
majority of the Board of Trustees of said Town of Southold at a
meeting held pursuant to notice duly given to all members thereof
on the day of ~ 1980~ party of the first part, and
ALFRED W. BASCOMB and JOAN BASCOMB, residing at 1627 East Drive,
East Merrick, New York, parties of the second part;
WI T NE S SE TH:
That the party of the first part in consideration of the sum
of One and 00/100 ($1.00) Dollar ~o said Town duly paid before the I
delivery hereof doth hereby granu, bargain, sell and release unto
the said parties of the second part, their heirs and assigns,
forever~
ALL that certain piece or parcel of land situate at Mattituck,
Tow of Southold, County of Suffolk and State of New York, bounded
and described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point at the southwest corner of the
premises of the parties of the second part at the high
water mark of Mattituck Creek as of 1950 adjacent to land
of Juttner on the South; running thence along land of
Juttner, North 69° 00' West 28 feet, more or less, to the
ordinary high water mark of Mattituck Creek as of August,
1980; running thence in a northerly direction along the
ordinary high water mark of Mattituck Creek~ 95 feet uo
land of Galligan; running thence North 66° 40' East 70
feet to the ordinary high water mark of Mattituck Creek
as of 1950~ running thence along the ordinary high water
mark of Mattituck Creek as of 1950 a tie line course
and distance of South 34° 14' 30" West 96.37 feet to
land of Juttner and the point or place of beginning.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD THE above mentioned and described premises
with the appurtenances u~to the said parties of the second part,
their heirs and assigns forever.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the said Town of Southold, party of the
first part, has by a vote of a majority of the Board of Trustees
of said Town, caused its corporate seal to be hereunto affixed,
and these presents to be subscribed by a majority of the said
Board of Trustees, the day and year above written.

all personally known to met who, being by me duly sworn, severally
said that they each reside in the Town of Southold, County of
Suffolk and State of New York, and were members of the Board of
Trustees of said Town of Southold and constituted a majority of
the same~ that they know the corporate seal of said Town of
Southold; that the seal affixed to the foregoing instrument was
such corporate seal; that it was thereunto affixed by order of
the Board of Trustees of said Town of Sout~old~ and that each one
signed his name thereto as a Trustee and by like order.
