THIS INDENTURE. made the 24th day of November in the
Year nineteen hundred and forty-four ,between
EDWARD A. RICHeRDS. residing at #50 Bow Street, Forest Hills,
New York;
part y of the first part,
and EDWIN SMITHSON and FANNIE C. SMITHSON, his wife, residing at
Wykagyl Gardens, North Avenue, New Rochelle, N. Y.,
part leg of the second part,

lawful money of the United States, and other good and valuable considerations
paid by the part ies of the second part, do as hereby grant and release unto

the Town of Southold, County of Suffolk and State of New York, known
as lot number two (2) on "Map of Salt Lake Village, Mattituck, Long
Island", prepared by Otto H. Van Tuyl, C.E., filed in the Suffolk
County Clerkrs Office May 10th, 1940 as map number 1310, together
with title to the center line of the road in front of said lot number
two (2), and together with an undivided one-twentieth (120th) inter-
eat of, in and to so much of lots twenty-seven (27) and twenty-eight
(28) on "Map of Property of Lida Bartley, Mattituck, L. I.", which
map was filed in the Suffolk County Clerkls Office July 27th, 1922
under number 770, as are included In the extension of Old Salt Road
from the North line of Salt Lake Village to Salt Lake Lane (sometimes
called Rochelle Place), subject to a right of way of other owners of
numbered lots on

north and west thereof, over the same, and Loge therpwithrayrighthof
way over Salt Lake Lane (sometimes called Rochelle Place) to Bay
Avenue.
TOGETHER with all the right, title and interest of the
party of the first part of, in and to the beach and land under water
in Peconic Bay, in front of and adjoining said lot numbered two (2).
10 T with the right of ingress and egress between said
lot and Sa Lake Lane (sometimes called Rochelle Place) over the
roads shown on said "Map of Salt Lake Village" to a width of twenty
(20) feet, and the extension of Old Salt Road to Salt Lake Lane
(sometimes called Rochelle Place), and subject to the right of Ingress
and egress granted or that may hereafter be granted, to other owners
of property shown on said Map and property to the north and west
thereof, and together with a right of way over the path as shown on
said map from Old Salt Road to Salt Lake Village Beach, and to the
use of said beach in common with other lot owners for bathing and
bee ting.
