REGULAR MEETING
TOWN HALL ANNEX BOARD ROOM
September 28, 2016
7:00 PM
Present: Dave Cichanowicz, Gerard Orientale, Jay Jansen, Frank Imbriano, Peg Murphy,
Jill Doherty, Matt Campbell, (prospective member)
This Regular Meeting of the Southold Town Tree Committee was called to order at 7:00 PM at
the Southold Town Annex.
Minutes from the August 24, 2016 meeting were approved.
Discussion Items:
1. The Committee members reported on the progress each has made with various local
businesses with our fall event: Partnering for a Greener North Fork. The Suffolk Times
will devote two full color pages on Columbus Day weekend for this event.
2. A sub-committee consisting of Dave Cichanowicz, Jill Doherty, Gerard Orientale, Frank
Imbriano, and prospective member Matt Campbell, will meet with Assistant Town
Attorney, Damon Hagan, to have a work session to discuss various ideas relative to the
creation of a Tree Code for Southold Town.
3. The 2016 Tree List will be emailed to all of the committee for their review and additions.
4. Discussed tree in front of liquor store and tree in front of Bridgehampton National Bank.
Dave will speak to Vinnie Orlando have the two trees taken down. We will drill holes
and apply the root rot and wait for Spring to plant new trees.
5. The next meeting of the Tree Committee will be October 26, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in the
Town Annex Board Room.
This meeting was adjourned at 8:04 PM
