WOOD BURNING STOVE A wood burning stove—the ZIRCON 38 model- was installed in the screened in porch as per submitted architect's plan dated 08/09/16. The manufacturer's specifications concerning a code compliant installation of the unit itself,the required distances to combustable materials,the hearth size and the chimney penetration through the porch roof as well as its extension beyond the roof line have been met or even exceeded the code requirements. GUARDS AT SCREEN PORCH AREA The contractor installed a 2X4 structural horizontal guard rail between the porch posts to align with the adjacent awning/casement windows,the height of the rails measure 32.5".Along with the structural stainless steel mesh screening material the screened porch design is safe and extremely sturdy and does not present a danger to the occupants inside or outside the porch enclosure.
