WITNESSETH, that the part y of the first part, in consideration of Three hundred
fifty and no/100 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Dollars,
lawful money of the United States, paid by the party of the second part, do es hereby grant and
release unto the party of the second part itslegal representatives and assigns forever,
ALL that piece or parcel of land situate in the Town of Southold,
County of Suffolk, State of New York for the construction of Middle I
Road and Middle Road Extension, County Roads Nos. 27 and 27A, as
shown on Map No. 3 and described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point on the division line between the lands of
Edith M. Young, reputed owner on the west, and the lands of Charles
Robinson, reputed owner on the east, said point being 60 feet dis-
tant northerly, measured at right angles, from station 39+36± of
the hereinafter described survey line of the proposed construction
of Middle Road and Middle Road Extension, County Roads Nos. 27 and
27A; thence southerly along said division line 19± feet to a point
on the highwater mark of the northerly side of Mattituck Creek,
said point being 41± feet distant northerly, measured at right
angles, from station 39+43 of said survey line; thence westerly
along the said highwater mark 44± feet to a point 51± feet distant
northerly, measured at right angles, from station 39+00 of said
survey line; thence southwesterly still along the said highwater
mark 851 feet to a point on the said survey line at station 38+321
of said survey line; thence southeasterly, still along the- said
high water mark 20± feet to a point 17t feet distant southerly,
measured at right angles, from station 38+43 of said survey line;
thence still southeasterly along the said highwater mark 67± feet
to a point 40 feet distant southerly, measured at right angles,
from station 39+05± of said survey line; thencewesterly269± feet -to a point on the division line between the lands of Edith 11. Young,
reputed owner on the east and the lands of Joseph Gillies, reputed
owner on the west, the last mentioned point being 40 feet distant
southerly, measured at right angles, from station 36+35.57 of the
said survey line; thence northwesterly along said division line
156. 36feet to a point 60 feet distant northerly, measured at right
angles, from station 35+15.37 of said survey line; thence easterly
422± feet to the point of beginning; being 29531± square feet or
0.678 acres more or less, and being a part or portion of the prop-
erty conveyed by George H. Horton to Edith M. Young and recorded
In the office of the Clerk of Suffolk County on March 12, 1937 in
Liber 1877 page 445.
The above mentioned survey line is a portion of the survey line
for the proposed construction of Middle Road and Middle Road Exten-
sion., County Roads Nos. 27 and 27A as shown on a map on file in the
office of the Superintendent of Highways of Suffolk County.
