A. This application must be filled in typewriter OR ink, and submitted in DUPLICATE to the Building
Inspector with the following; for new buildings or new use:
1. Final survey of property with accurate location of all buildings, property lines, streets, and
unusual natural or topographic features.
2. Final approval of Health Dept. of water supply and sewerage disposal—(S-9 form or equal).
3. Approval of electrical installation from Board of Fire Underwriters.
4. Commercial buildings, Industrial buildings, Multiple Residences and similar buildings and
installations, a certificate of Code compliance from the Architect or Engineer responsible for
the building.
5. Submit Planning Board approval of completed site plan requirements where applicable.
B. For existing buildings (prior to April 1957), Nor-conforming uses, or buildings and "pre-existing"
land uses:
1. Accurate survey of property showing all property lines, streets, buildings and unusual natural
or topographic features.
2. Sworn statement of owner or previous owner as to use, occupancy and condition of buildings.
3. Date of any housing code or safety inspection of buildings or premises, or other pertinent in-
formation required to prepare a certificate.

HOUSING CODE INSPECTION
July 22 , 1974

Upon receipt of application for a Pre-Existing Certificate
of Occupancy, I made inspection of this one and one-half story
framed dwelling and found the following violations of Chapter 52 ,
Housing Code, Town of Southold.
I was admitted to rear entrance by Mrs. Soderstrom and began
inspection at approximately 10 :00 A.M.
First floor consists of kitchen, dining room, living room, two
bedrooms and full bathroom. An unheated enclosed porch runs full
length of north side of building. Heat is supplied to first floor
rooms from oil fired hotwater furnace located in full cellar.
Living room: Front entrance-no means of controlling electric
light in room on entry. Art. V. , Sec . 52-56 B2 .
Second floor consists of two bedrooms and one half bathroom
and is unheated.
Heat is required for all year occupancy. Art. V, 52-53 Al.
Stairway: Ceiling light in hallway on second floor, only one
switch at foot of stairway (first floor) controlling light-
Requires control from second floor for safe descent. Art. V,
Sec. 52-26 B-3 .
Open yard area and accessory building, (three car garage) in
good order.
Inspection completed at approximately 103/114 A. .
