Tax Roll: Theodore Marangas and wife Occupied - owner Upon request of the Southold Town Building Department, I made inspection of this two story framed dwelling and found the following violations of Local Law #1, Housing Code, Town of Southold, N.Y. I was admitted to main entrance by Mr. Marangas who accompanied me during inspection, which began at approximately 1:15 p.m. FIRST FLOOR - heated, forced warm air Dining Room: Entrance from porch, no light switch to control light in room on entry - Section 529b. Enclosed porch: Unheated, two windows broken panes of glass in each one - Section 302b. Hallway: Wall light switch, no plate, - Section 528a. SECOND FLOOR - no heat supplied to rooms, only to hall bathroom Stairway: Handrail at top of stairs, shakey and loose - Section 107 Walk-in Closet: Off northwest bedroom - open junction box, light fixture on lamp cord - Section 528a. Hallway: Wall switch, no plate - Section 528a. Bathroom: No moisture resistant flooring - Section 214d. Cellar: Four open junction boxes - Section 528a. No cover on main fuse box - Section 528a. Fused switch box, two lines enter through door opening - Section 528a. All electric outlets require plates - Section 528a. Main ground wire not connected - Section 528a, b. Gas hot water heater, no relief valve - Section 521a. Flue pipe runs through cellar window, glass was removed and a wood panel was fitted to window franeflue pipe runs through hole in wood panel and terminates at other side of opening under a porch entrance - Section 520a, 524. Fuel line to furnace on cellar floor unprotected - Section 107, 507a. Fuel oil tank in cellar filler and vent pipe do not run to outside - Section 536b, 537b. Furnace shutoff switch not secure to box and is without plate - Section 528a. Housing Code Inspection Second Floor Bathroom: Not Section 504g. Sewage line no house trap connection - provided - Section 504f. - 2 - Theodore Marangas May 21, 1973 tied into roof vent - runs directly to cesspool, Section 504b. This application must be filled in typewriter OR ink, and submitted in duplicate to the Building Inspector with the following; for new buildings or new use: 1. Final survey of property with accurate location of all buildings, property lines, streets, and unusual natural or topographic features. 2. Final approval of Health Dept. of water supply and sewerage disposal—(S-9 form or equal). 3. Approval of electrical installation from Board of Fire Underwriters. 4. Commercial buildings, Industrial buildings, Multiple Residences and similar buildings and installations, a certificate of Code compliance from the Architect or Engineer responsible for the building. 5. Submit Planning Board approval of completed site plan requirements where applicable. B. For existing buildings (prior to April 1957), Non -conforming uses, or buildings and "pre-existing" land uses: 1.
