Tax Roll: Edith Mahoney Occupied: Owner Upon receipt of an application for a Pre -Existing Certificate of Occupancy I made an inspection of this two story framed dwelling. I was admitted to building by Mrf Coyne who accompanied me during this inspection which began at approxi- mately 1:10 P.M. The first floor consists of a kitchen, dining room, living room, pantry, and bedroom. These rooms are on the west side of hallway containing stairway to the second floor. East of hallway are three rooms, one of which contains a sink and refrigerator. The second floor contains a bathroom, three bedrooms and a hallway with a secondary set of stairs leading to first floor dining room. The only source of heat for building is from an oil fired warm air furnace located in partial cellar under westerly part of the building. Furnace has one warm air outlet located in living room floor. The following violations of The Housing Code, Chapter 52, Town of Southold, were found: Heating - insufficient for building, Article V, Section 52-53 A.l. Plumbing Fixtures - Hot water not furnished. Article V, Section 52-51 D.1. Kitchen - Sink Drainage System - no water seal pro- vided in waste line. Article V, Section 52-51 C.5. Bathroom (second floor) - No tub or shower facilities. Article V, Section 52-51, D.2 -C. Floor covering not complete and tight at base of toilet. Article III, Section 52-32 D. Cellar - Fuel oil tank, fill and vent piping terminates inside of building. Article V, Section 52-59 C.2. Housing Code Inspection Page 2 2025 Main Road, Laurel Fireplace - opening bricked and cemented over. (Fireplace chimney receives smoke stack from furnace). Original brick- work facing of fireplace on each side of opening has buckled away from sides of fireplace structure, Article V. Section 52-54 A.1. Inside cellar stairway - No handrails, two open sides. Article II, Section 52-27 B. Interior - Plaster walls and ceilings in kitchen, pantry, bedroom, second floor southwest, is loose and missing. Article III, Section 53-32 C. Exterior of Building- Front porch west entry end post missing supporting roof; steps and flooring deteriorating and loose; front porch east entry , steps rotted away. Rear porch, northeast entry, floor boards missing. Outside cellar entrance doorway deteriorating. Southeast corner of building - trim missing, sill rotting. Article III, Section 52-30 A - C. This application must be filled in typewriter OR ink, and submitted in DUPLICATE to the Building Inspector with the following; for new buildings or new use: 1. Final survey of property with accurate location of all buildings, property lines, streets, and unusual natural or topographic features. 2. Final approval of Health Dept. of water supply and sewerage disposal—(S-9 form or equal). 3. Approval of electrical installation from Board of Fire Underwriters. 4. Commercial buildings, Industrial buildings, Multiple Residences and similar buildings and installations, a certificate of Code compliance from the Architect or Engineer responsible for the building. 5. Submit Planning Board approval of completed site plan requirements where applicable. B. For existing buildings (prior to April 1957), Non -conforming uses, or buildings and "pre-existing" land uses: 1. Accurate survey of property showing all property lines, streets, buildings and unusual natural or topographic features. 2. Sworn statement of owner or previous owner as to use, occupancy and condition of buildings. 3.
