Instructions
A. This application must be filled in typewriter OR ink, and submitted w somomme to the Building Inspec-
tor with the following; for new buildings or new use:
1. Final survey of property with accurate location of all buildings, property lines, streets, and unusual
natural or topographic features.
2. Final approval of Health Dept. of water supply and sewerage disposal—(S-9 form or equal).
3. Approval of electrical installation from Board of Fire Underwriters.
A. Commercial buildings, Industrial buildings, Multiple Residences and similar buildings and installa-
tions, a certificate of Code compliance from the Architect or Engineer responsible for the building.
5. Submit Planning Board approval of completed site plan requirements where applicable.
B. For existing buildings (prior to April 1957), Non -conforming uses, or buildings and "pre-existing"
land uses:
1. Accurate survey of property showing all property lines, streets, buildings and unusual natural or
topographic features.
2. Sworn statement of owner or previous owner as to use, occupancy and condition of buildings.
3. Date of any housing code or safety inspection of buildings or premises, or other pertinent informa-
tion required to prepare a certificate.

Upon receipt of an application for a Pre -Existing Certificate
of Occupancy, I made an inspection of this partial two-story and
one-story wood framed building. Accompanied by Reginald Hudson
I began this inspection at approximately 9:00 A.M.
First floor has a kitchen, dining room, full bathroom, and
two living rooms. Second floor has three bedrooms. Building is
constructed on a red brick foundation and has a partial cellar
accessible by exterior stairway. A two -car, wood framed garage
in rear yard area was locked and inspection of interior was made
visually through window of side door.
The following violations of the Housing Code, Chapter 52,
Town of Southold, New York, were found:
�HHe__a__ti__ng - no heating equipment for living unit, Article V,
eco 52-53 A 1.
Exterior - paint peeling on trim and soffit of cornice at
several areas, Article III, Section 52-30 C.
Garage - broken pane of glass in garage door, Article III,
Section 52-31 B. Stairway to loft requires handrail on
open side, Article II, Section 52-27 B.
