This application must be filled in typewriter OR ink, and submitted in triplicate to the Building Inspector with the following; for new buildings or new use: 1. Final survey of property with accurate location of all buildings, property lines, streets, and unusual natural or topographic features. 2. Final approval of Health Dept. of water supply and sewerage disposal -4S-9 form or equal). 3. Approval of electrical installation from Board of Fire Underwriters. 4. Commercial buildings, Industrial buildings, Multiple Residences and similar buildings and installations, a certificate of Code compliance from the Architect or Engineer responsible for the building. 5. Submit Planning Board approval of completed site plan requirements where applicable. B. Tax Roll: Robert Lenzner & wf. Unoccupied. Upon receipt of an application for a Pre -Existing Certificate of Occupancy, I made an inspection of the buildings on this premises. I admitted myself to dwelling through cellar outside entry and began this inspection at approximately 11:20 A.M. Dwelling is a two-story, partial one-story wood framed structure constructed on a foundation consisting of cement blocks, poured concrete and some rubble stone set in mortar. First floor contains a bedroom, kitchen with walk-in pantry, dining room, rear entry vestibule, sun parlor with front entry, two sectioned living room connected by a pair of doors. Second floor has four bedrooms and a full bathroom. There is a prime stairway leading from second floor to east living room on first floor and a secondary stairway connecting second floor hallway and kitchen. Attic storage area is accessible from bedroom on north side of building. Heat is furnisheA,z A all rooms from an oil -fired steam heat furnace located in eases side of full cellar. Kitchen and sun parlor are constructed over crawl space of founda- tion. The following accessory buildings are located in rear yard: A wood framed barn with loft accessible by exterior stairway on east side of building (this building is constructed on a red brick foundation); a wood framed storage building constructed on wood posts; and a large wood framed building for vehicle storage con- structed on a poured concrete foundation. The following violations of the Housing Code, Chapter 52, Code of the Town of Southold, New York, were found: Entries - to dwelling, no means of controlling light in room at point of entry. Pull chain ceiling fixture in rear entry vestibule is broken, Article V, Section 52-56 A 1 and B 2. Gas cooking range - no shut off valve at unit Article V. Section 52-52 B 2. Bedroom - first floor, lower window sash has broken glass, Article III, Section 52-31 B. Living room - (east room) lower window sash has broken pane of glass, Article III, Section 52-31 B. Electric - two switches in hallway of second floor that control lights on prime and secondary stairways have broken toggles, Article V, Section 52-56 A 1. Page 2 Bedrooms - second floor, southeast and north room.with access to attic. In both rooms, electric ceiling light fixtures are not securely mounted (hanging by wires supplying current to fixture.) Wall switches controlling ceiling fixtures require plates, Article V, Section 52-56 A 1, 2. Hall Bathroom - electric light wall fixture missing to right of medicine cabinet over sink, open wires are exposed, Article V, Section 52-56 A 1. Bathroom floor covering does not appear to be of moisture resistant material covering wood flooring, Article V, Section 52-26 A 4. Inside Cellar Stairway - two open sides, no handrails provided, Article V, Section 52-27 B. Barn, southwest - southwest corner of exterior wall not sitting squarely on foundation causing deformation of building, Article III, Section 52-30 B. Stairway to second floor requires handrail on open side, Article V, Section 52-27 B. Section of flooring missing at entry to second floor, Article V, Section 52-28 A. Storage Building - northwest section of rear yard, roofing, wood shingles, deteriorated. There are several missing shingles causing excessive openings in roof, Article V, Section 52-31 C.
