The Economic Development Committee accepted the April 15th minutes

Carolyn Fahey contacted Supervisor Scott Russell and Chairperson Rona Smith on her

wish to resign

The Committee agreed to send letter to Tony Cocheo to be signed for resignation

The topic of moving the date and time of the monthly meeting was discussed. All
o
members are to send their best date of availability to Denis.
The Committee agreed to have someone come once a year from Suffolk County
o
Economic Development Office, also from New York State Office
The Committee asked all member to make a list of possible new members according to
o
the following criteria as a helpful guideline: arts/non-profit, tourism, youth,
construction/trade, food/beverage/restaurant, finance, All ideas are to be sent to Denis as
well.
The Committee suggested having Sub-Committees that would focus on specific issues

Food Sector Luncheon Update
The Committee is trying to decide what they can do, what grew out of the luncheon
o
Housing and Food Safety were the biggest issues brought to light
o
The Committee needs to go to the Town Board to report issues and what needs work
o
The Committee will be notifying luncheon attendees via email of a Housing Advisory
o

Meeting being held May 31 at 7:30 p.m. at the Town Hall

The Committee is going to focus on the issue of farm worker housing
