HOUSING CODE INSPECTION
August 8, 1978
240 Alvah's Lane R-1
Cutchogue, N.Y.
Tax Roil: Mildred B. Horton
Unoccupied
Upon receipt of an application for a Pre-Existing Certificate
of Occupancy, I made an inspection of the buildings on the above
captioned premises. I admitted myself to the building with the
keys provided by the adjoining property owner, and I began this
inspection at approximately 11:40 A.M.
The dwelling is a one and one half story, wood frame structure
constructed on a cement block foundation. The first floor con-
tains a kitchen, a lving room with a fireplace, two bedrooms, and
a full bathroom. The second fl6or has a completed iroom and attic
area that is used for storage. Heat is furnished to all rooms
from an oil fired, forced warm air furnace located in the full
cellar. Domestic water is furnished to all plumbing fixtures and
hot water is furnished to all plumbing fixtures from an electric
hot water heater. A one car garage is located in the side yard
area and is attached to the dwelling with an open breezeway. There
are no accessory structures in the rear yard, however, the property
is enclosed on the side and rear yards with a picket type fence and
a split rail fence.
The following violation of the Housing Code, Chapter 52 Code of
the Town of Southold, was found:
Gas Cooking Range - no shut off valve at unit. Article V
Section 52-52 B. 2.
A completed dormer room on the second floor does not provide the
minimum head room of 7 foot 6 inches as defined in the Floor Area,
Livable under Chapter 100 Article I, Section 100-13 and therefore
is in violation of the Zoning Ordinance, Town of Southold,
Inspection was completed at approximately 11~55 A.M. and the
keys were returned to the adjoin~5~ premises a~'Der instructions.
R~ectfull~ s~bmitted,
